The main focus of the private lessons is musical theory and how it applies to the instrument. All the while trying to remain fun. Therefore, the musical style/genre that the student is seeking is irrelevant. At Dennis O'Toole Guitar Instruction the goal is for the student to have an understanding of the music that they seek to learn and become an independent musician. Since it's inception in 1995, I have helped thousands of players from around the world learn guitar theory.  In 2000 I self published "Dennis O'Toole Presents Basic Theory For The Beginning Guitarist"
